October 17 - Morning at the Bayit

Spend your Sunday morning at the Bayit: give back, get involved, and meet other Bayit members.
The playground will be open from 10:00am - 1:00pm and light refreshments will be served.

Used Sefarim Sale

Bring your surplus Judaica books to the Bayit for our Used sefarim Sale. Please drop off sefarim this Sunday - Friday (Oct. 10-15) at the service entrance at the bottom of the driveway. All are invited to browse the sale to expand your library. Proceeds will be used to offset the cost of sheimot burial.
Sale hours: Sunday, Oct. 17th: 11:00am - 1:00pm // Weekdays, before & after Shacharit & Minchah/Maariv.

Committee Fair

If you ever thought to yourself “I want to get more involved in the Bayit” this is your opportunity. Learn about our various committees and find the one (or two?) that matches your passion for community service and engagement.

Sheimot Collection & Puskha Exchange
11:00am - 1:00pm

Make this Sunday a day for fall cleaning! Along with your surplus clothes and sefarim, bring your sheimot and loose change to the Bayit! Please bring your sheimot items in medium size bags or boxes that are both sturdy and not too heavy. Donations of $18 per box or bag to cover the cost of burial are requested. New, reusable Bayit pushkas will be available for pick up to start your next collection.
See to understand what is considered sheimot and should be buried according to Jewish guidelines.

Coffee, Muffin, and Chesed Torah with the Rabbinic Team
11:00am - 1:00pm 

Sit down with a coffee and a muffin for a 15 minute learning session with rabbinic team members.

Clothing Swap
Motzaei Shabbat Oct. 16th • 7:30pm - 9:00pm

In advance of the clothing drive bring your gently worn, clean, outgrown or unused women's, men's and children's clothes, shoes, boots, and winter wear and trade them for something "new." Sizes newborn to 14. Maternity, nursing and baby wearing items welcome. No toys, gear or furniture please. Visit or email Kathy Goldstein for more info. Unclaimed items will be donated at the Clothing Drive the following morning.

Clothing Drive
Sunday, October 17th • 9:30am – 12:30pm

Please sort and separately bag men's, women's & children's clothing as well as gently used linens, blankets, quilts, and towels. A truck will be outside the Bayit from 9:30am - 12:30pm. Stuart's Stories
Sunday, October 17th • 10:30am – 12:30pm

Get your copy of Stuart's Stories. Bayit member Stuart Olsen is giving back to the Bayit by selling copies of a collection of his stories. $10/booklet. All proceeds will be donated to the Bayit.
