Looking for deeper meaning in the High Holiday prayers?
This year at the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale – the Bayit, we invite you to experience our High Holiday Explanatory Services with Rabbi David Kalb and Rabbi Eliezer Lawrence.

Join us on the first day of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur morning to discover the beauty of the High Holidays in a warm, inclusive environment.

Our time together will include heartfelt prayer, spirited singing and dancing, thought‑provoking discussions and a few surprises. On Rosh Hashana the service will include the blowing of the Shofar to fulfill this Biblical obligation.

Whether you are new to the liturgy, or want to understand the prayers on a deeper level, please join us. You’ll gain insight into the words, melodies, and traditions to make your High Holiday prayers meaningful and spiritual.

There is no set ticket price for this service, but advance registration is required.

Please provide the names of any additional people in your party.

Suggested Donations:
  • Single Holiday: $54 per person
  • Both Holidays: $72 per person
If you already purchased a seat in another Bayit tefillah, but would like to also attend the explanatory service, a donation of $18 or $36 would be appreciated.
