Elul and Tishrei call us to deepen and intensify our relationship with God. Our sages chose Chanah’s heartfelt plea — the model for the Amidah  — as the Haftarah for the first day of Rosh Hashanah. Together, we will explore her words and her story, uncover themes that speak to our own lives, and find inspiration for more authentic, personal prayer.
