Mark Trencher received semicha from the Rabbi Jacob Joseph school in 1971, and retired in 2015 from his business career in areas of research, planning and issues analysis. He has taught graduate level business and statistics courses, and has been active in many Jewish organizations, including president of his synagogue, day school and kashrut commission. He started Nishma Research in 2015 with the goal of providing Jewish organizations with quality, affordable, needed, independent research. Nishma has done four broad studies of the Orthodox communities on issues that had not been previously examined; as well as many synagogue, organizational studies and studies on special topics.
