On Shabbat Hazon, August 6th, Rabbi Zachary Truboff will give the Shabbat morning drasha titled: "Making a Space for Trauma: The Ethical Dimension of Tisha B'Av." All are welcome to join us in the Main Sanctuary around 10:00am.

Rabbi Zachary Truboff is the author of the new book: Torah Goes Forth From Zion: Essays on the Thought of Rav Kook and Rav Shagar. He is the Director of Rabbinic Education for the International Beit Din and previously headed the English-speaking program of Zerufim, a project of Yeshivat Siach Yitzchak.

His writings on Jewish Thought and Zionism have appeared in numerous publications. Before making aliyah, he served for nearly a decade as the rabbi of Cedar Sinai Synagogue in Cleveland, Ohio, where he led the merger of three synagogues into one thriving community.  While there, he also worked as Director of Jewish Life and Culture at the Mandel JCC, founded the Cleveland Jewish Arts and Culture Lab, and in 2015, was chosen by the Cleveland Jewish News as one of its 18 Difference Makers, a select group honored for their contributions to Jewish communal life in Northeast Ohio. Originally from Sharon, he now lives in Jerusalem with his wife, Jen, and their four children.
