Please join us on Motzaei Shabbat, December 7th at 7:30pm for an insightful panel discussion titled "We Need to Talk About This: A Panel Discussion about Halacha, Aging, and End-of-Life Care". Panelists include Rabbi Dr. Shlomo Brody,  Dr. Michelle Friedman, and Dr. Eliezer Oberstein. Moderated by Bassie Taubes.

Panelists:

Michelle is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in private practice, the chair of Pastoral Counseling at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabinnical School (YCT) and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. 

Dr. Eliezer Oberstein is the section chief of GI Oncology at NYU Langone Health, and specializes in clinical trials and novel therapies in advanced cancer.

Moderator:
Bassie Taubes is a nurse with over 30 years of clinical experience in oncology. She serves as the Director of Community Outreach for Ematai, an organization that integrates Jewish wisdom with clinical expertise to guide individuals and families through complex healthcare decisions. Specializing in areas such as aging, end-of-life care, and organ donation, Bassie collaborates with rabbis, healthcare professionals, and ethicists. She conducts workshops across the tri-state area, participants to make values-based healthcare choices rooted in halacha and Jewish wisdom.
