Community Tashlich to Support U.S. Asylum Keekers

Tashlich is the Hebrew word for “send off” or “cast away.” It is usually observed on the afternoon of the first day of Rosh Hashanah. Tashlich takes place near a river or a stream where Jews symbolically cast off their transgressions from the past year by throwing pieces of bread or pebbles into the water. We invite members of all faiths to participate in a special Tashlich observance, when we will cast aside our inaction and find paths to aiding those in crisis at our Southern border.

Sponsored by Bend the Arc and the Interfaith Clergy Conference of Riverdale, Kingsbridge, Spuyten Duyvil and Marble Hill.
