Rabbi Dr. Sharon Z. Shalom immigrated to Israel from Ethiopia at age nine. He studied at Yeshivat Har Etzion and earned rabbinic ordination, later completing advanced degrees in theology and philosophy at Bar-Ilan University. He is a Senior Lecturer at Ono Academic College, teaches at Bar-Ilan and Tel Aviv Universities, and was a visiting scholar at Brandeis University. Rabbi Shalom leads the “Kdoshei Israel” synagogue in Kiryat Gat, serves as a Captain in the IDF Reserves, and is active in several rabbinic organizations including Beit Hillel and Tzohar.
