Welcome to the Bayit!
We’re so happy you’re here, and we’re eager to meet you and connect you with our mission-driven Bayit community.
We call our synagogue The Bayit (Hebrew for home) because we aspire for our open Orthodox community to be a home: a home to daven, pray soulfully, a home to learn Torah that is grounded in tradition and speaks to the current moment, a home to partner in chesed, acts of loving-kindness, and engage in tzedek, justice, in our community and in the greater Bronx, USA, Medinat Yisrael and the world, and a home to know each other, celebrate each other, support each other, and challenge each other.
Now that you found us, here are four things we invite you to do:
-
Email a member of the clergy team to introduce yourself and let us know how you’d like to explore our Bayit and get connected. We’d love to meet you and help you meet other folks.
-
Sign up for our email list to get a sense of what we’re about and the many ways to plug in.
-
Dive in to the areas that most speak to you.
Whether you are entering physically or virtually, we welcome you, and we are eager to do this work together!
With gratitude and eagerness,
Rav Steven
