Tefillah Locations:

  • Indoors at the Bayit: We will have our usual tefillot in the Sanctuary and Social Hall. These tefillot will more closely resemble their pre-pandemic norms, though the services will still be somewhat shorter in length. Reb Elli Kranzler will be leading tefillah in the Main Sanctuary. Childcare will be available and will be coordinated by our Youth Director, Yali Szulanski.
  • Outdoors in North Riverdale: We thank Alisa & Michael Brown for opening their yard to the community again this year.  Besides those who live close by for whom the distance to the Bayit is a challenge, this tefillah is designed to be welcoming to households with young children.
  • Outdoors in Central Riverdale (Century Minyan): We are please to continue our partnership with the Century Minyan led by Brian Spira & Atara Gorsetman. This tefillah will once again take place outdoors at the Kanner home. Thank you to MJ & Barry for once again opening their yard to the community. Children are welcome to join their parents at tefillah, but there is no childcare available at this location.

CHILDCARE

Sign up online

Child care is available for children ages 3 through 4th grade  from 9:30am - 1:30pm on both days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur as well as on Kol Nidre evening. We encourage all children in grades 5 and up to join their parents in tefillah as much as possible and/or join our Tween Learning Service for Mussaf on Rosh Hashanah mornings.  Advanced registration is required.

To ensure everyone's safety and to maintain the proper decorum and sanctity during services, all children must be properly supervised by either sitting with their parents in services or in childcare.

Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Social Action Reader
Before you gather around the Rosh Hashanah table to bless the new year we ask that either you print this link or pick up a copy in shul lobby of the Bayit Social Action Committee's Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur Reader. We hope that the pieces in it can be useful inspiration as you think about the year ahead and reflect on the year behind you. We encourage you to consider using some of these pieces as conversation starters at your Yom Tov dinner and lunch tables.
