HIR KNITTING CLUB

Meetings take place on the 1st Tuesday of each month, 1:00pm-3:00pm and the 4th Monday of each month, 7:00pm-9:00pm.
There are two projects you can participate in:

1. Knit small squares that are sent to Warm Up America! where they are sewn together into afghan blankets. You can also knit a scarf and/or hat that is sent to Warm Up America! and distributed by them to one of the charities they regularly support.

2. Knit a scarf which will be donated to a shelter of the club's choice, for victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse. The scarves have a special meaning for those who have escaped their abusive situations and sought refuge in the shelter; often with only the clothing on their back.

Yarn and supplies made possible through the generosity of a grant from the Gutenstein Family Foundation.
