Mazal Tov on your new baby! Becoming a new parent is quite a change. It can bring along tremendous feelings of joy, happiness, and love. It can also bring along feelings of isolation, depression, anxiety, and stress. Finding support with others in your community can be very beneficial. We invite you to join our supportive community of new parents and babies to learn, grow, gain support, and give support in this challenging time. We will discuss all topics related to new parenting and look at Jewish perspectives and texts in relation to the journey of new parenthood. Together, we will provide a safe space to feel supported, combat isolation, ask questions, and share common experiences and resources on this journey.
The group will meet at the Bayit. It is open to all first-time parents with a new baby, ages 2-6 months as of the start of the group. The cost for this group will be $288. Please contact Bayit Social Worker Arona Berow, LMSW, for required intake and for any questions, at 212-632-4735 or aberow@jbfcs.org.
