All are welcome to join us in the Main Lobby for a book discussion with Gail Burko. We will discuss the book The Two-Family House by Lynda Cohen Loigman.
The Two-Family House by Lynda Cohen Loigman takes place in Brooklyn in the early 1950’s. Two brothers live in a two family brownstone, with their wives and families. Over the years, there are secrets, lies, reveals, tragedies, heartbreak, and happiness.
Gail grew up in Brooklyn, where her family was actively involved with Temple Beth El of Manhattan Beach.
For a while, her father, Ted Grosack, was President of the Temple, while her mother, Rita Grosack, was President of the Sisterhood.
During her thirty years of teaching English and Reading Skills at a New York City middle school, Gail tried to instill a love of literature and reading in her students.
