5) Closing Message
I’m writing this message with the entrance to our Bayit, our shul, right outside my window, lit up, prompting me to share with you the teaching of the Seforno on this week's parasha. Commenting of the pesukim in the beginning of Behukotai, envisioning a better world ahead, Seforno notices the juxtaposition in two consecutive pesukim of the phrases, ונתתי משכני בתוככם – “I will place my Tabernacle in your midst”, and והתהלכתי בתוככם – “I will walk about in your midst.” Seforno says that this describes two simultaneous realities. Yes, God will dwell in the Tabernacle, but also, says Seforno, God will be הולך אנה ואנה – “walking about” amongst us. ויראה כבודי בכל מקום שתהיו שם – “My glory,” says God, “will be seen wherever you are.” So while we can't be in our Bayit, may we do everything in our power to make God's presence be felt in the walls of our homes, where we dwell. Have a wonderful day!    (You can see this closing message in video format here.)

Reminder to all to take good care of ourselves and each other.  Try to do something specific today that strengthens you, and something else that strengthens someone else.

May it be a good day,
Rav Steven, Rav Ezra, Rabbanit Bracha, Rabba Sara and Rav Avi
