1) Local Outbreak Information:  We continue to monitor and be in touch with public health officials and our partner institutions around Riverdale.  We must remain vigilant about continuing to practice all best hygiene and social distancing practices.

2) Daily Tefillah Zoom Room - Begins with Sunday 8:30am Shacharit: At our daily tefillah times, there will be a Zoom room we can join to pray in our homes alongside each other.  The room will be open during our regular tefillah times:  Shacharit - Sunday 8:30am-9:00am; Monday-Friday 6:40am-8:30am; Mincha/Maariv - Sunday-Thursday 6:50pm-7:20pm.  The room is set up to mute participants upon entry.  You can unmute to be heard by others.  Please click here to join - this is the permanent link and is also on top of the Bayit's homepage.  At the end of each tefillah slot, a clergy member will teach a Mishnah to honor the memories of those for whom community members have been saying Kaddish at this time.

3) Book Launch with Dr. Elliot Rabin - Sunday 10:00am: "The Biblical Hero": Approaching the Bible in an original way - comparing biblical heroes to heroes in world literature - Elliott Rabin addresses core biblical questions: What is the Bible telling us about what it means to be a hero? Why do we need such heroes, possibly now more than ever?  Click here for Zoom or dial-in audio at +1 646 558 8656; Meeting ID: 571 001 488

4) Bayit-led Online Support Space at 8:45pm Tonight with Aviva Braun, LCSW: We will have online Zoom support space for those wishing to connect and process this experience together.  Tonight's group, open to all, will be facilitated by Bayit member and LCSW Aviva Braun.  The Zoom video chat space will be open from 8:45pm-9:30pm (click here for Zoom or dial-in audio at +1 646 558 8656; Meeting ID: 373 071 966).

The online support space continues nightly at 8:45pm.  Schedule is as follows: Mon 3/16: Dr. Barbara Gochberg, Tue 3/17: Dr. Josh Altman, Wed 3/18: Dr. Alan Weiner, Thu 3/19: Aviva Braun, LCSW.  The link for each session is the same - here.

5) Addressing Financial//Resource Needs: As a Bayit, we are here to help each other.  We recognize that the financial and resource tolls of this crisis will only grow.  We are preparing to support our community on many levels.  If you are in current need or expect to be in need, please contact any clergy team member so we can begin to assess need, prepare and provide immediate support.  If you'd like to offer support, please donate here with "Rabbinic Discretionary Fund" as the Type, and include "Covid-19 Support" in the Notes.

6) Quarantined Households WhatsApp Group: To join a WhatsApp group for quarantined individuals and receive messages of chizzuk, please click here.

7) Bayit Quarantine Errand Support System Continues: Reminder: an amazing group of Bayit (and beyond!) volunteers is now deployed to assist with running errands for those in quarantined households.  They have helped many people in Riverdale and Westchester!  Submit your requests here and someone will respond within a couple of hours.  Please share this resource - our community is here to help!

8) Bayit Phone Check-in Squad - volunteers and call recipients welcome: Our Bayit has a wonderful group of volunteers calling community members to check in and connect.  If you'd like to receive a call to connect with another member of the Bayit community, or if you'd like to make calls, please contact Shira Gordon at

9) Prayer from Rav Avi for Washing Hands during Coronavirus: Please read, use and share this tefillah from Rav Avi.

10) Bayit COVID-19 Information Repository: All the emails that we are sending about Covid-19 are posted to our website at
